The Cullen Brothers are a pair of award-winning Anglo/Irish writers from Bristol.
Their first commission, The Attendant – an unorthodox, genre-hopping love story set during the night shift at a petrol station – first aired on BBC Radio 4 in October 2021. The 5×28 series starred Patricia Allison (Sex Education), Will Merrick (Dead Pixels) and Kenneth Collard (Cuckoo). The series was repeated earlier this year and is now being released as an audiobook by Penguin Random House. The project was based on the brothers’ multi-award-winning short film of the same name, that starred Rob James-Collier (Downton Abbey) and Isy Suttie (Peep Show). The film was screened at over thirty international film festivals and picked up six awards including ‘Best Comedy Short’ at LA Comedy Festival and ‘Directorial Discovery’ at Rhode Island Film Festival.
Their radio play, Andrew Is that You?, airs on BBC Radio 4 in October.
