In 2006 Nina graduated from the University of Wales with a First in BA Film; in 2008 she graduated with an MA in Screenwriting from the prestigious London Film School.
After graduation, Nina set up her own production company Live Forever Production in London for which she has produced, written and directed several short films and documentaries. She self-distributed a documentary about the vibrant mod scene in London today titled We Are The Mods all around the world via DVD sales. More recently she has focused on recording her music and performing all over Greater Manchester where she now resides. Her films and writing have received award nominations at film festivals including Encounters International Film Festival, Kicks ‘n Flicks Football Film Festival and Underwire Film Festival. In 2020 her feature script United was nominated for Best Un-comissioned screenplay at Manchester Film Festival.
In 2015 Nina’s short film script Midnight Of My Life about legendary musician Steve Marriott, starring Martin Freeman and directed by British veteran actor Phil Davis, was produced. The film was shortlisted for a BAFTA and was successfully playing at various national and international film festivals. Midnight Of My Life earned praise from renowned film critics such as Mark Kermode and Peter Bradshaw.
Nina’s feature film script United, a feminist football underdog story, is currently looking for a production home and director. Its protagonist Terry is a heroine audiences are yearning for more than ever: strong but flawed, she breaks down boundaries and challenges perceptions of how a woman should be and what she should do with her life – in a place not normally associated with female lead characters – the world of football.
Nina is currently developing further feature film screenplays, amongst them a feature-length biopic about Steve Marriott and a feminist Western about female friendship.
Nina’s film United is under contract with development producer Anna Southgate.
