Lynda Reiss is a New York-born/UK-raised filmmaker whose life adventures have taken her around the world. She’s been ananny for the super-rich, a prop house owner, a single mom, as well as having a successful career as a property master on projects such as American Beauty, True Detective and Stranger Things. When this work no longer satisfied her, she decided to follow her dream of directing, and made her first film, Ready To Go, which won twenty-seven awards on thefestival circuit, and was Oscar qualified for 2020.
Tara Tremaine grew up in Los Angeles and became a film buff at an early age thanks to Star Wars. Parlaying her passion for storytelling into documentary filmmaking, she wrote/produced/directed content for Paramount, Fox and Warner Bros.During her five-year producing partnership with Oliver Stone, they made the documentary feature, South of the Border as well as the critically acclaimed The Untold History of The United States, a twelve- episode documentary series that she executive produced with Stone and Rob Wilson for Showtime.
Lynda and Tara crossed paths when they co-produced Lancaster Park, the second short film Lynda directed. It was duringproduction that they discovered their mutual passion for women’s stories – particularly unsung heroines throughout history.Having a spark of an idea, they dove headfirst into writing, and through marathon Zoom sessions during the pandemic created Moonlight & Mayhem.
This dynamo team has been awarded nine festival Laurels for Moonlight & Mayhem, they have run their own productioncompanies and collectively are members of BAFTA, the Producers Guild of America, Television Academy of Arts & Sciences as well as Women In Film.
They are thrilled to be working with WGM and can’t wait to bring the story of the real clandestine sisterhood who battledthe Nazis, paving the way for the Allied invasion on D-Day.
