Biography

Charity Trimm is a writer/performer fuelled by Northern Grit and biscuits. Along with her writing partner Anne-Marie Draycott she won the BAFTA Rocliffe Comedy Scriptwriting Competition and they were co-winners of the London Screenwriters Festival 50 Kisses Competition. They have written on series 1 & 2 of BBC Alba’s sketch show FUNC which won the 2019 RTS Scotland

Comedy Award. They are currently developing scripts for children’s TV, scripted comedy and radio.

Charity co-founded, produced and wrote material for Edinburgh’s monthly live comedy night, Bearfoot Comedy Club. She was commissioned by Napier University to write An Evening at Stobs – a play recreating a night of entertainment first performed in a WW1 internment camp – which enjoyed a sell out tour. Charity is currently wrangling words for her second short film.
