Antonia Bogdanovich began writing as a freelance journalist. In 2015, she expanded her short, MY LEFT HAND MAN (Winner – Best Short, New Jersey Film Festival 2012), into the feature film, PHANTOM HALO (2015), which she c0-wrote (2014 Austin Film Festival, 2015 Sarasota Film Festival). It won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor at the 2015 NYC International Film Festival. It was a New York Times Critic Pick and was released in theaters and VOD in June 2015.
She was an Executive Producer on SHE’S FUNNY THAT WAY (2015) starring Jennifer Anniston and Owen Wilson. And produced THE PHENOM (2016), starring Paul Giamatti and Ethan Hawke and SIX LA LOVE STORIES (2018) with Stephen Tobolowsky and Matthew Lillard.
Antonia is attached to direct, THE CRIMINALS, a WWII Polish Underground script her parents, Peter Bogdanovich and Polly Platt, wrote in 1968. A gritty, passionate, high-octane crime thriller recently revised by Polish-American writer, Agatha Dominic.
She’s created two TV projects, VANILLA SHAKE, an 80’s coming of age drama. It’s a semi-autobiographical story about her childhood growing up in Los Angeles with Hollywood, Playboy and a male strip club as the back drop. The other was co-created with Melissa Lee Diehl – RISING VOICE – a music-themed teen
drama series set in Beijing. Currently, she wrote and is set to direct a film in Malta, TANGIERS BY FRIDAY, which she also wrote. It’s an international crime-drama about a group of women who run a sex-trafficking ring.
