Anna began her writing career on the BBC Radio 4 satirical show, DEAD RINGERS, which then moved to TV. She has since written shorts, features, TV and web series, stage-plays, live shows and immersive content. Currently Anna has a black comedy feature, TEAM-BUILDING, in development with Green Door Pictures; a biopic, GAIA, in development with Gaia Films, and a pscychodrama, EGOMANIAC, in development with Farrena Films. Her surrealist musical comedy, THE CIRCUS RUNAWAYS, is in development with Creative Alchemy One and Pathways XR, with the aim of exploiting it across stage, screen and as a game. Anna was also a writer on THEATRE ELECTRIC, a VR experience currently screening at festivals around the UK.
In 2023 Anna wrote and directed the pilot for MIX TAPE, her 10-part TV Rom-Com series starring Robyn Cara, BAFTA Cymru-winner, Kel Matsena, and comedian, Zoe Lyons, while in 2022, her dark comedy, SELF TAPE, was selected for the BBC’s Upload Festival. Anna’s short film, I SEEK ASYLUM, starring Dame Emma Thompson, won three international awards.
Anna is also a script-editor who has partnered with the BFI, international TV and Film producers and a diverse range of writing talent – from Nicholl Fellowship award-winners to best-selling authors. In 2021 she wrote the HANDLE WITH CARE guidelines. Launched by the BFI, these addressed the depiction of violence towards women on screen.
