Biography

Tina started her writing career as a novelist, her first book, DANCING WITH THE TWO-HEADED TIGRESS, being described by Cosmopolitan as ‘a beautiful debut that mixes humour with biting social commentary’ and The Financial Times as a ‘charmingly told comedy of manners’.  Since then,  Matthew d’Ancona has described Tina as ‘a novelist of exceptional talents’ and the Guardian as a ‘natural writer’. Her last novel, THE ANTAGONISTS, about the clash between an Indian Chief Minister and a powerful businessman, is a sparkling social satire, which Shashi Tharoor called ‘a highly original novel’. She is now working on SKINNED AND BONED, a darkly funny relationship drama about a woman falling out of love with her husband.

She has now also turned her attention to writing for the screen, having taken part in a writing mentorship scheme run by Channel 4. The pilot of her political relationship drama MORE THAN LOVE (with co-writer and brand specialist Paul Stanway) was commissioned by the BBC; she is now working with Paul on FISHBADGER, a gritty, workplace drama set in the world of advertising. Her feature film screenplay PERFIDY, a contemporised adaptation of an Edith Wharton novel, is being developed with Naïma Abed at Paradise City.  She is also working on MURMURATION, an epic political drama set in India.

Tina lives with her favourite beings – Alex, Viv and Marcel – in London, and can be relied upon to give sage advice (even when not asked for it).
