Rebecca Spargo began her career as a journalist at the BBC before switching into PR. Having decided to focus solely on writing, she is now a freelance copywriter and author.
An avid consumer of news and current affairs, Rebecca writes compelling book club fiction examining some of the most pressing issues facing society today. Her debut novel, The Guilt List, is about a mother who discovers her son is one of a group of boys who’ve been sexually bullying girls at his school. Delving into issues of toxic masculinity, the safety of women and girls, and the impact of social media on children and young people, it asks the question – how much can any woman truly know her own son?
Rebecca lives in Surrey with her husband and two children. The Guilt List will be published by Hera in October 2026.
