Nicola Cassidy is an author, ghostwriter and screenwriter from Co. Louth, Ireland. She has published four historical fiction novels for adults and one for children. She has a number of screen projects in development and has won or been placed in a number of high-profile writing competitions including BBC / Element Pictures NI Writers Award and Stellify / Sony Pictures All Ireland Screenwriting Award. In 2023, her contemporary rural drama Hurricane Farm received Screen Ireland development funding in conjunction with Cowtown Pictures. As a ghostwriter, she works across fiction, historical fiction and memoir with clients in the US and Europe. She is attracted to true stories, biopics, historical and forgotten women’s stories.
