Miranda Benjamin graduated from Salford University with a 1st Class BA Honours in Performing Arts and went on to tour across Britain and Europe for a number of years with a variety of theatre shows, these included ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe’ and most notably ‘Macbeth’ at the National Theatre of Luxembourg.
Although Acting has always been her main passion, Miranda’s introduction to professional performance was as an Illusionist’s Assistant at the age of 16. Since then, Miranda has enjoyed developing and exploring a variety of performance skills including singing, dancing, puppetry, flairing and (most dangerously) dancing with fire! Miranda has recently discovered a love of Yoga and Pilates and is continuing to advance her strength, flexibility and technique in this area with a keen attention to detail.
In the last couple of years, Miranda’s focus has shifted to expanding her screen acting experience. She’s featured in a number of TV commercials for Better Bathrooms, The Claim Guys, A/O Hotpoint and Plenty More Fish, has taken the lead female role in ‘Cleft Lip’; a thought provoking feature film directed by Eric Knudsen (due for release in summer 2018) and is currently working with Chris Stone in his latest episode of the award winning web series ‘Year of Spies’. Although Miranda is relishing the joys of screen acting, she is also excited to return to the stage later this year in ‘Married But Lonely’; a new play by Chris Leicester.
